Nigeria

Nigeria is undoubtedly one of the most corrupt countries in the world. With a population of 123 million, a population equal to the rest of the continent of Africa. In a nation where 50% of the population is Muslim, Christians are often persecuted and endure discrimination. Yet Christianity continues to spread through the towns and villages.

Emerging from sixteen years of military rule, the nation is now faced with the formidable task of rebuilding the economy damaged by corruption and mismanagement by government officials.

Since 1988, LCC has worked with Calvary Evangelistic Missions, a ministry directed by Dr. Sampson Onwubiko. Calvary Evangelistic Missions has been invaluable in supporting pastors who are instrumental in cultivating God's love and acceptance in this often violent country.

LCC is presently looking into the feasability of build a hospital in Umuahia, Nigeria. While this multi-year project is the largest project yet concidered, it offers the potential for the greatest returns.
